7 oz. Records has come to its 4th release in vinyl.
Label founders Siddharta and Mr. Rovat have finally put the last touches to their musical debut with Windy City Lights, an explicit dedication to the sound which influenced them in the 90s. It's an Ep which relives those Chicago and Detroit atmospheres, enhanced by the solo trumpet played by acclaimed musician Omar Valle, who gives it a unique jazzy mood intertwined with drum machines and old school tools, an attempt to have the record play in an analogic manner.
The remix was handed over to none other than to Brothers' Vibe, an historical name in the North-American deep and house scene. The result is filled with dub echos, undoubtedly Detroit and perfect for any set!

EDO PIETROGRANDE – DONDE ESTAS Y DONDE VAS [7oz 003]
Third release for the label which has been revolutionizing the Italian electronic and underground dance scene: after the winter floorfiller “No Rulez Ep” signed by Skyboy and Edo Pietrogrande (just to name a few Dubfire, Loco Dice, 2000 and One, Sis, Raresh…have literally gone mad for Without by Skyboy), 7 oz Records is coming out with a killer summer dancefloor hit: “Donde estas y donde vas”, produced by Edo Pietrogrande, friend and veteran of the label.
The original version is oriented towards a retro style, with horns à la Marshall Jefferson, a dry and hypnotic voice, howlings like Souljazz Records and lots of groove in a jacking house style which at times brings back tech-house sounds so ever-popular in the late 90’s.
The remix, expertly produced by David Keno (Keno Records, Kindisch) is, and will be, the soundtrack to many after parties, clear and fresh.. it brings forth images of smiles. “L’amour” is the romantic side of the ep, you won’t find it hard to recognize the voice, in the deep and languid version where Edo has successfully evoked a latin atmosphere, hot and sensual.

over 30 years ago, someone was discovering the meaning of 'groove' in italy. today edoardo pietrogrande, a member of spirit resonance, re-interprets the myth of adriano in minimal keys and pumpin' techno. enveloping and incessant: wind instruments, vocals and pauses create magical tunes on the dancefloor. a tribute to those who were paving the musical ways back in the 70's...

Fabio Fioravanti (aka Mr. Rovat) and Siddharta have given life to a new musical project, far away from genres and sub-genres, trends and fads while never forgetting to keep an ear out to capture colors and sounds from the outside world.
